On Sunday, October 12, 2014 we had the pleasure of being "inspected" by the International Association of Ultrarunners director, Nadeem Khan.
"I had the opportunity to meet with Claire and Andrei Nana, Race Directors of Icarus Florida UltraFest in Ft. Lauderdale. Ultrarunning is a passionate sport and this is truly evident in spending some time with the RDs.
The course, being quite flat and paved, is going to be a fast one. The starting field is exemplary and will be exciting to watch with the multitude of events in this one race.
Icarus Florida UltraFest has big plans for the future. I wish Claire, Andrei and their crew the very best in their inaugural edition and look forward to seeing this race grow in the coming years." - Nadeem Khan
While the focus of discussions was the upcoming race, we discussed and agreed upon some very important projects for the upcoming years... Now the dream of creating in South Florida a true World Capital/Mecca of Ultrarunning is taking place.
